Blahblahblahmoon, blahblahblahcroon...
You all suck for not reading my blog.
That said, Camp Wayne is quite the adventure- I've had the alma mater and "Don't Laugh at Me" stuck in my head since last night's Creative Service. A joy, let me tell you. One of my girls (I have 13-yr-olds) had to leave today because she broke her ankle a few days ago. My other girls are pretty upset, and her little sister, who was already homesick, is utterly crushed, not to mention her!
Um, what else... I have a crush on one of the other counselors. There's good news and bad news, though. The good news is that she is, indeed, gay, and is also from Arizona. The bad news is that she's taken. Damn.
I also have a crush on Tomas, a guy with awesome tattoos who is from the Czech Republic and works in the kitchen. Damn good at tennis too. And he refers to keeping an eye on the salad bar during meals as being the "salad bitch," which is really cute because a) he says it with an accent and b) he has to bend down and say it in my ear so that the girls can't hear. I like this. He taught me how to play a blues chord progression on the guitar, and sang me some songs in Czech, which was, of course, very nice. *giggle*
So, my bunk of girls is awesome- each and every one of them is a total angel, though I think that some problems might pop up surrounding one girl in the bunk; the other girls don't quite tease her, but they occasionally play with the borderline. It's been hard for me thus far because I have absolutely no idea what to do most of the time; I have no idea what 13 year-olds need. The only thing I can really do is to hang out with them, though I was in the staff show ( a musical production- I had a solo, and got millions of compliments, so SUCK IT EVERYONE WHO'S EVER TOLD ME I CAN'T SING OR THAT I WOULDN'T DO WELL ON STAGE!!!!!!!!!!! SUCK IT!!!!
Anyway, between staff show rehearsals and doing stuff for ceramics (like cleaning and firing kilns) I haven't gotten to spend, like, any time chillin' with my girls.
In other news, my mandolin-playing is improving.
In still more news, I've tried waterskiing a couple of times. I suck though; I can't keep my grip, and I spend a lot of time flopping around in the water trying to get into the right position. I am tres frustrated.
I am also tres sleepy, but I have to turn up the glaze kilns one more time before I go to bed. The jewelry gal and I collaborated and offered a workshop on making abstract clay sculptures and then wiring beads onto them, and the sculptures are all firing right now.
Also, I <3 Inters (the youngest group on campus, around 6-9 years old). I actually picked one up and set her on my hip, which is definitely unusual for me- in fact I've never done that before. She was just so damned cute!
Alright, that's all for now. Not that anyone reads this. Lame.

Oh, de Ele-anor! It was great to hear from you yesterday and I'm so glad that you're enjoying your camping experience. Are you learning camp songs? That's really a critical part to the counselor lifestyle. :^) Muah!
