Behold, the Internet!

Behold, I have internet! That's right, Lindsey and I are online at the same time, for the first time since moving in. It may be shortlived, however, as I'm already having trouble with some uncontrollable pop-ups, and seem to have a new virus. Fun.

In other news, I'm cleaning my room, and there's some carpet! Yay! Nick called me tonight and we talked for a long time which was nice; I don't see enough of that kid these days.

In addition, I'm pretty freakin' pumped for my birthday celebrations next weekend! I know that I've been harping on this a lot, but I don't want people to forget and make other plans ^_^ I'm also pretty freakin' pumped for my Pirate Day Camp next Friday! Huzzah, bitches!

Woo, alright, I need to go to bed- I've started to hit that ultra-sleepy stage when black shapes morph around and crawl. Weird.

I have issues

I don't take criticism nearly as well as I would like, so today when Eric told me that the little mini-speech I made at the Camp Sparky meeting was terrible and I sounded completely clueless, I didn't take it very well. In fact, I'm still not taking it very well. Grr.

In other news, I overslept today and it was so late by the time I was ready to go to the studio that it became a better use of time for me to go to Mike's to watch the Broncos lose to the Steelers (NOoooooo!!!!) and do a little flirting with the Levi. We talked about epoxy, plus I told him about my 21st birthday festivities, and I think he's going to come! Oh, and he asked me how the game night that I had invited him to went. :-) Yeah, that's right, I'm a nerd. A big, fat nerd. A big, fat, "excitable" nerd.

*sigh* I'm really emo tonight. I should go grab more coffee and head to the studio, even though I'd much rather crash out. I need to do a lot. Yuck. Alright, here I go. Seriously. I'm going right now. For reals. Just as soon as I stare blankly at the computer screen for a few minutes. Alright, I'm really going now. mmmhmm. Going, going, gone. Seriously.

I'll leave you with Greg's quote of the day: "Boch shit in my pants." Alright, now I'm really leaving.

Broccoli

So.... last night I had a dream that broccoli started growing out of my arm. I also dreamt about sitting around a well-lit table eating cinnamon rolls with Hayden, Neff, and Sabrinah after I successfully beat a neighboring gang in a territorial war by winning a motorcycle race across a suspension bridge. It was pretty much awesome. Well, not really the broccoli bit, because that was part of a dream in which I was diagnosed with cancer, but the race and cinnamon rolls were definitely awesome.

And now some favorite quotes from the Annual Erotic Poetry Festival at the Mercury Cafe, which I went to with Sabrinah on New Year's Eve:

"I'm gone put a hurtin' on you,
I'm gone put a hurtin' on you..."
-Lady Speech

"I knit a sweater out of all the pubic hairs you left in my bed"
-Ken, the be-dredlocked guy who runs the Mercury Slam

"I don't know how erotic a man can be with his ukelele..."
-Ryan Jaynes, "proving to guitar players everywhere that it's not the size that counts."

In other news, it's snowing! I'm not sure if I do or do not hope that it amounts to something, since we really need moisture, but I was planning on going to a movie with my maternal unit tonight. We're planning on going to see The Legend of Zorro, and I don't want anything coming between myself and Antonio Banderas, unless it's someone more attractive, in which category the snow does not, alas, qualify.
