The twilight zone
I had my party tonight, and it was pretty cool. For one reason or another, though, it wasn't what I had expected or hoped for. I think I just spent much too much time in the kitchen and not enough time with my guests. I had been really excited to spend a little more time talking to certain friends of mine like Ryan and Alison Lewis who I don't know as well, but I didn't really get the chance. It didn't help that I was tired and dizzy as all get out by the time we all sat down to eat. It was fun, but I think I got a little frustrated, and it's a good thing that these people know me, because boy did I demand a lot of hugs, lol!
Oh, and I bellydanced in my new skirt and bedlah- I really like it, but I think I lost some sequins. It was a lot of fun dancing for my friends, and I got to try out my floor dancing, which was a lot of fun. It was also a bit of a challenge because I had to dredge up old moves to keep doing new things. I thought that I had run out, but I've just remembered some more floor moves. God, I am such a ham! I do have to admit that I enjoy showing off. My god, it takes me back to that fateful birthday party for Clay, senior year of high school when I flirted shamelessly with David Zivnuska, and then at a nudge from the group, performed the boob dance for him. (For those of you who may not know, the "boob dance" is a particular series of bellydance chest moves that happened to be in the choreography that I danced at my senior IB retreat talent show.) Anyway, the boob dance. What a can of worms I opened up, eh? Anyway, I was back at it again tonight, though I got a whole batch of shy when Kenny decided that it was time for Nick and I to kiss. (BTW, Nick, what I meant when I said that I was going to try to pretend you were someone else was that I would be much more of a ham and less shy had you been someone else. That means that I actually have respect for your opinion of me, which is a good thing :-))
Speaking of Kenny, I was wearing a shirt from his "home country" *coughcoughcough* today- Yemen. ("Ya man!" -Mr Baker, my 5th grade teacher. "*gigglegiggle* Yemen *gigglegiggle*" - my middle school friends.")
I'm slightly worried about Lindsey. Hope all is as well as it may be.
Oh, and a weird ass quote for today, from our very own Mel. She said this completely out of the blue while we were walking down Mill the other day.
"Let's do some fisting."
Alright folks, that's all I have to say tonight. The sooner I get to bed, the sooner I can have leftover blueberry pudding for breakast ^_^ Goodnight! :-*
